Established in 2017, '0202 – Points of View from Jerusalem' is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to bridging Jerusalem's cultural, social, and political divides through the strategic use of media. We are the only nonprofit media organization in Jerusalem engaging with and representing all three major demographics: East Jerusalem, West Jerusalem, and the Ultra-Orthodox communities. We combine local journalism,

translation, and visual media with programs targeted to foster community development, mutual respect, and understanding among the city's diverse populations. Our mission is to harness the power of media to cultivate a more harmonious and connected future for Jerusalem.

Our Approach and Impact

Jerusalem is often seen through an East vs. West lens. 0202 offers a direct, authentic perspective from Jerusalemites across all three main communities. We focus on strengthening the voices of local residents to share their stories and perspectives while promoting dialogue and intergroup cooperation. In under seven years, 0202 has become a respected name in the city and a recognised force for positive change. Our work is acknowledged by top authorities and underrepresented groups, enabling us to drive change across various levels of society and across the city.

Our Shared House-Divided

With a population of over 1 million, Jerusalem is considered

relatively small but incredibly diverse. It features three

major languages, 132 distinct neighbourhoods, and at least

15 Abrahamic faith denominations. The city is home to three

major demographic groups—Haredi, East Jerusalemites,

and West Jerusalemites—each living in largely separate

communities with significant distinctions. Despite this

diversity, most Jerusalemites rarely venture into areas

predominantly populated by demographics of other groups,

only encountering each other in shared spaces like "seam"

areas or commercial zones.

Core Operations

Journalism & News

Collaborating with local journalists and story leads, we offer unique behind-the-scenes insights into community life in Jerusalem, as narrated by residents from the city's three major demographics. Through our social media platforms, which have over 60,000 followers, we enable each community to share its culture, history, challenges, local events, and aspirations with one another.

Strategic Community Projects

Through education, media initiatives, and leadership training, 0202 engages with the city's diverse communities,  fosters partnerships and encourages Jerusalemites to actively participate in their community’s growth and resilience. Our strategic projects create an inclusive environment where voices are heard and respected, laying the foundation for sustainable change and collective prosperity.

Student Media Services

Media is essential for public relations, donor engagement, advocacy, and amplifying NGO impact, yet budget constraints often limit investment in this area. Through affordable media services—advertising, web design, event photography, and social media—0202 supports NGOs in elevating their digital presence while giving students practical experience in regional social initiatives.

Translation Services

Inaccuracies, culturally insensitive translations and limited access to crucial information deepen community divides. To combat this, 0202 offers a dedicated service that ensures high-quality translations at a nonprofit rate. Our clients include the municipalities of Jerusalem, Akko, and Tel Aviv, along with over 30 other organisations and institutes.
