Reconstruction of Events by Police Research Department

“Researchers from Police Research Department are Reconstructing the scene of the Haredi Man that was Hit

Isaac B. The young Haredi man who was attacked by a policeman when he asked him why he didn't wear a mask, returned today to the scene of the attack, with two Police Researchers to find out exactly what happened and how.

Researchers from the Police Research Department arrived an hour ago (Wednesday) to the intersection between Shamgar-Yehuda in Jerusalem, together with Isaac B who was attacked by Policeman, in order to try and reconstruct the scene.

We are referring to an accepted legal procedure, which is part of the work done by the Police Research Department under the Department of Justice, in response to the detailed complaint filed by Isaac B after the attack.

At the scene, Isaac B explained to the two Policemen his version of what happened and how it occurred.

It was told to ‘Kikar HaShabbat’ that the Police Research Department are dealing with this issue with the highest level of seriousness, in order to try and finish this investigation as soon as possible.

As it may be recalled, the policeman in question was suspended from his position, after the camera lens caught the powerful blow he gave to Issac B’s head during the demonstration against lockdown on the Haredi neighborhoods, simply because he dared to ask him why he was not wearing a mask.

After that, the Policeman even tried to falsely accuse him because he tried to steal the radio from him while dropping him, and therefore hit him with the device, but a clear documentation from the scene proved that he lied, and even the court released the young man from custody because of the false accusation.

Two days after the event, Isaac B filed a complaint against the police officer. At the entrance to the office of the department, he gave a filmed interview to the 'Kikar HaShabbat', in which he described among other things: ′It was such a strong blow, and I first felt swelling. I still have headaches and dizziness. It's an unpleasant feeling, and I also suffer trauma from it’ .”
