Jerusalem Mourns Rabbi Adin Even-Israel Steinsaltz [1]
“Today [August 7, 2020] Jerusalem mourns the death of a beloved Jerusalemite, winner of the Israel Prize, Rabbi Adin Even-Israel Steinsaltz. He was one of the greatest interpreters of the Talmud and his books adorn so many houses. He was a figure that transcended sectors, unity and peace were his guiding principles. A man with broad horizons, depth, knowledge and modesty, and at the same time a man of laughter and humor.
A figure that Jerusalem was blessed with, and his death is so unfortunate.
May his memory be a blessing.”
