Eviction Warning Posted on the Doors of Family Homes in Al-Issawiya

"The Occupation Police have submitted eviction warnings for dozens of dunams in the village of Al-Issawiya in Occupied Jerusalem because they [The Occupation] claim ownership of them.

The Nature Authority and the Occupation Municipality had posted the warnings on the entrances to dozens of dunams they intend to take over that are owned by the following families: Aliyan, Mustafa, Darbas, Abu Riala, Darwish, Mahmoud and Abid.

The lands consist of residential, commercial and agricultural buildings. It was written on them [on the warnings]:
'The Government of Israel: Israel Lands Authority:
Entry is prohibited, anyone who violates the law [does so] at his own risk'."

Translation of Video:
"These lands are some of the lands that were confiscated immediately after the war in '67 [1], and they are currently registered as belonging to the Israel Land Authority, even though they are private lands that belong to their owners and they used to and continue using them and working on them. They have not been abandoned, but at the moment they are outside the outline plan planned by the Occupation Municipality, and it considers these lands outside of Al-Issawiya's borders and not part of it.

[The lands] were transferred to [fall under the borders of]Hadassah Hospital [Mount Scopus] where special buildings or car parks for the hospital would be built. Another part [of confiscated land] was included in the master plan of the French Hill settlements and the capital. And the rest [of the lands], they cannot be accessed by their owners. Currently, for the second time, the Israel Lands Administration and the State Property Officer of the Occupation have distributed documents to landowners calling on them to come to the Land Administration for investigation on the grounds of 'use or entry into State lands' and this is prohibited, although there are verification documents confirming landowners' ownership of these lands'. [1] The war referred to here is known as the 6 Day War in Israel and an-Naksah, "The Setback" for Palestinians. It was fought in June of 1967 by Israel and the neighboring states of Egypt (known at the time as the United Arab Republic), Jordan, and Syria. Israel seized Sinai, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and the Golan.
