“The most popular photo in the village of Anata [1].
An insignificant Zionist soldier takes a photo at the entrance of the [Palestinian] village. To our dismay, many Palestinian youth are proud of this photo. What they are thinking? I don’t understand.”

[Selected Comments:]
– “The picture was taken from behind, but the [Israeli] soldier is probably saying, ‘I swear I will finish off this village because it has no men [to protect it].’ Lol.”
– “What a backwards society, why were they brought up like this? They are terrible with no morals. I swear this type of thing makes a person speechless.”
– “These types of young people are truly trivial. What are they so proud of and what is there to be gained [from sharing photos like this]? What is the reason behind this? When you [Palestinians] play Hebrew music on full blast, do you think you are honoring yourselves? In the time of the Prophet [Mohammad (pbuh)] the leaders were like 15 or 18 years old, maybe even younger. In our time the young people look huge, but act like little kids with simple minds.”

0202 Editor’s note:
[1] Anata is a Palestinian town in the Jerusalem Governorate in the central West Bank, located four kilometers northeast of Jerusalem's Old City. Together with Shuafat Refugee Camp, the village is almost completely surrounded by the separation barrier. The village is cut off from Jerusalem and nearby villages except for a checkpoint in the west, and a road in the north-east that gives access to the rest of the West Bank.
