“The judaization of hundreds of locations in Jerusalem.

A long-term academic study published in Jordan shows that the Israeli Occupation changed the original names of hundreds of Muslim and Arab sites in Jerusalem, in an effort to judaize the city and suppress its [Arab] identity.

The study entitled, ‘The Sustainable Documentation of the Arabic Names of Archaeological Sites in Occupied Jerusalem,’ is the first of its kind in the Arab and Muslim world, according to Dr. Ibrahim Bathatho, the dean of the Faculty of Tourism at the University of Jordan. The study was published in ‘European Tourism’ magazine.

According to the University of Jordan's long-term study, there are 667 heritage and archaeological sites in Jerusalem whose names have been changed from the original Arabic. This indicates systematic destruction of all Christian and Islamic heritage sites in Jerusalem. The change has been documented chronologically through satellite imagery.”
