"Haredi Outcry Against Argentina-Israel Game

The Haredi MKs are expressing their worries about the expected wave of Sabbath desecration, which will happen this upcoming Sabbath as a result of the highly anticipated Israel-Argentina soccer game this Saturday night, particularly because of the arrival of international soccer phenomenon Lionel Messi. The stadium will be open for the team to practice multiple times during the holy day. 'As someone who works relentlessly to keep the Sabbath sacred in the public sphere, I call upon the Minister of Culture and Sports Miri Regev to get involved immediately and prevent the upcoming desecration,' says Haredi MK Yoav Ben-Tzur. 'The game has no place in a Jewish state.'

The game was originally supposed to take place in Haifa, but was transferred to Jerusalem following great pressure from political forces. MK Miri Regev has expressed her approval for the move claiming, 'it is a big honor to be hosting the best soccer players in the world here in Jerusalem, and this move will give soccer fans a chance to come to our capital and enjoy this exciting game.'"
