0202 – Points of View from Jerusalem

#0202_A_View_From_West_Jerusalem

[From the video:]
"Wow, they’re trying to throw a tire…I don’t believe it, take a look at this…They’re terrorists. Why aren’t they being arrested? They’re terrorists…They’ve lit a tire, and they’re trying to throw it over to the other side…Unbelievable, how filled they are with hate, evil and spite…How many people are over there? three? No, six…They’re damaging the fence too…What they’re doing is throwing burning tires; lighting them on fire and throwing them towards the Pisgah [1]"

– Jerusalemites FB Group

[Selected Comments:]
– "Hi, as an ex-resident of east [Pisgat Ze’ev [1] neighborhood] – it was a long nightmare. And yes, they managed to throw a few tires."
– "Complete lack of control of the situation: fires, gunshots, fireworks and horrific noise from the mosques – including at 4 in the morning. Ahmad Tibi and co. then say that this noise is part of their religion. We never used to have things like these [sound systems] – what did they do [back] then [before sound systems were invented]? There was no Islam?"
– "To put it briefly, entire streets in east Pisgat Ze’ev need their rights protected, just like people living on the outskirts of Gaza – the situation here is the same."
– "You’re right. So much evil, hate, jealousy, desire for death and murder, racism. In short, God concentrated all this evil in one religion. And then, they’re surprising the leftists with kanafeh [2] and hypocritical smiles of peace-lovers, and they’ll buy it."

0202 Editor's Notes:
[1] Pisgat Ze'ev, sometimes shortened to "the Pisgah," is a primarily Jewish neighborhood in north Jerusalem. It is located near the Shuafat Refugee Camp, whose buildings can be seen in the video.
[2] A traditional Palestinian dessert.
