– Rashut HaRabim, The Jerusalem Forum of Jewish Renaissance Organizations

0202 Editor's Notes:
[1] Shavuot is a Jewish holiday that celebrates the day the People of Israel received the Torah (Bible) and commandments from God, according to tradition.
[2] Tikun Leil Shavuot – On the eve of Shavuot, there is a tradition of spending the entire night studying the Torah. This custom has been modernized by some, and cultural events – some religion-oriented, some not – take place on this night, all through the night.
[3] Rashut HaRabim – The Jerusalem Forum of Jewish Renaissance Organizations was founded with the goal of bringing a variety of Jewish voices to the forefront, and of strengthening and empowering the rich Jewish renaissance activity taking place in Jerusalem. (From the organization's website)
