“Video: Israeli ‘Environmental Protection Agency’ Raids Bab A-Rahma Cemetery [1] in Jerusalem

The so-called Israeli ‘Environmental Protection Agency’ raided Bab A-Rahma Cemetery this morning [April 30, 2018] and sprayed trees with chemicals to eradicate them; the [Israeli] police closed off the road leading to the cemetery and prevented people from entering.

The Environmental Protection Agency also marked several [Muslim] graves along the eastern side of the cemetery in preparation for their removal and the
agency's takeover of the area which they want to convert into a nature reserve.”

[1] Bab A-Rahma Cemetery is adjacent to the eastern wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque. It is the second most important Muslim cemetery in Jerusalem and is still active. The struggle over the character and control of the cemetery is over a decade old.
