“The municipality of the Israeli Occupation has allocated approximately six million shekels to connect the [new] American Embassy to an emergency side-street as the deadline for its transfer [to Jerusalem] approaches this May.

The Israeli news site ‘Walla’ reports that the municipality’s financial committee transferred 5.8 million shekels to have the street connected to the embassy; the street is expected go through the Arnona neighborhood and connect to Layef Yafeh street which leads to the Diplomat Hotel [1].

This comes in light of President Trump’s announcement on December 6, 2017 that recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and his decision to move the U.S embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem despite warnings from the international community.”
