"Summer session has begun in the flagship of the yeshiva world

‘Summer session’ [1] opened last night (Sunday) in the flagship of the yeshiva world – the Ponevezh yeshiva in Bnei Brak [2], headed by yeshiva heads Rabbi Adelstein and Rabbi Dovid Povarsky as well as the president of the yeshiva, Rabbi Kahaneman, who gave opening remarks to the young men. [1] The ‘summer session’ is roughly equivalent to spring semester in university.
[2] The Ponevezh Yeshiva (=institute for Judaic religious studies) is, as quoted, considered to be one of, if not the main, flagship yeshivas. Located in the Haredi city of Bnei-Brak (having moved there from the polish town of Ponevezh following the holocaust), it houses over one thousand students.
