0202 – Points of View from Jerusalem

#0202_A_View_From_East_Jerusalem

"Occupation soldiers establish a harassing checkpoint in Joret Al-Enab, and search buses and young men."

– Wadi Hilweh Information Center – Silwan [translated by the page]

0202 Editor's Note:
Silwan lies to the south of the Old City, in Wadi A-Nar (Kidron Valley) and on the slopes descending from it to the west and east, and bordered on the north by the walls of the Old City and the Mount of Olives. The neighborhood of Wadi Hilweh is a sub-neighborhood of Silwan, which lies entirely within the national park surrounding the walls of the Old City. This area is rich in archaeology, which is now identified among the Jewish public as the City of David. The neighborhood runs the "Wadi Hilweh Information Center – Silwan," which publishes news and information about Israeli activity in Silwan and other neighborhoods of East Jerusalem.
