"The Waqf in Jerusalem warns against the Judaizing festival which will be held in Al-Aqsa next week

The Islamic Waqf Council in occupied Jerusalem warned against the preparations being made by the Israeli occupation authorities for the 'Practice Passover Sacrifice' festival, with the participation of the biggest rabbis from the Temple Mount, singers and television channels. This event will be held in the Umayyad palaces adjacent to the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the south of the city.

The festival, announced by the Temple Mount organization on its website, will take place next Monday, when preparations begin on Sunday.

In a statement to the Wafa news agency, the council noted that the Occupation has been suffocating the blessed Al-Aqsa mosque for half a century through projects of Judaization. The Occupation tightened its siege on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque when it destroyed the Mughrabi neighborhood [the Western Wall plaza], took over the palaces of the Umayyad Mosque and declared that they became Jewish gardens and sanctuaries for the Temple, and the Occupation is working today to promote this dangerous festival.

The statement stressed that 'the palaces of Umayyad and all that surrounds the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque are an inseparable part of the Islamic sanctuaries and belong solely to Muslims, and no one has the right to attack them or change their purpose.'

The statement added that 'this Judaizing activity is a desecration of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque's sanctity and constitutes a deliberate, rejected and despicable step that we will not pass quietly, because silence on such a situation will give extremist organizations a green light to move into the Al-Aqsa mosque.'

The Waqf Council has warned against such a step, which is a provocation against Muslims' feeling and may lead to undesirable consequences."
