"In collaboration with Al-Quds University, workers in occupied Jerusalem organized days of Jerusalem culture in order to commemorate Palestinian Culture Day that takes place on March 13 of every year – the birthday of Palestinian national poet Mahmoud Darwish.
These days will be filled with a number of activities and heritage events aimed at strengthening the Palestinian identity of young Jerusalemites.
Although singing the Palestinian national anthem is uncommon in Jerusalem, the organizers challenged the occupiers’ taboos and coordinated the Jerusalem cultural day events.
The events evoke Palestinian heritage and customs. It tells the story of Palestinian women and their traditional dress. The story of the traditional dresses is also the story of the Palestinian wedding, and popular songs that restore the authenticity of the past and the scent of Palestinian henna.
On the last day of activities, there will be room for a bazaar to gather handicrafts and Palestinian heritage works."
