"A video recorded by an Israeli activist of children playing soccer inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound has been circulating on many Israeli websites.
A number of settler activists have waged a vicious campaign of incitement against these children. They asked Occupation police officers stationed in the courtyards to prevent the children from playing, claiming that this [Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound] is a holy site for Jews and its sanctity must be preserved."

0202 Editor's notes:
The Temple Mount/Haram al-Sharif is of enormous religious, historical and cultural sensitivity both to Muslims and Jews, and any perceived breach of the fragile 'status quo' is likely to lead to violence, as has been the case on numerous occassions in the past – most recently when Israel erected electronic metal detectors at the entrance to the site in the summer of 2017, following which violent riots erupted.
